Bible verses on homosexuality are “offensive” scriptures according to SJW school board.
An Alberta school board is demanding that a Christian school omit “offensive” Bible verses on homosexuality according to a 6/16 report from the National Post.
Cornerstone Christian Academy is under fire for including scripture in its curriculum that doesn’t align with leftist brainwashing.
The Battle River School Division (BRSD) is forcing Cornerstone Christian to remove 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 from its statement of faith and stop teaching that homosexuality is a sin.
“Any scripture that could be considered offensive to particular individuals should not be read or studied in school,” Board chairwoman Laurie Skori said. “For example: any teachings that denigrate or vilify someone’s sexual orientation.”
CCA chairwoman described the school board’s decree as “shocking, absolutely shocking.”
“You can’t just pick and choose those scriptures,” she told the National Post. “We need every single word there to challenge us, to call us to greater understanding. We’re talking about freedom of religion, but we’re (also) talking about freedom of expression.”
A spokeswoman for the school board dismissed claims that BRSD is impeding religious freedom by imposing politically correct rules on curriculum.
“In our province there is a heightened awareness and a heightened sensitivity” around LGBTQ issues,” Diane Hutchinson said.
CCA can circumvent BRSD’s demands by becoming a private school.
Here’s what Romans 1 says about homosexuality:
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
