President Donald Trump will skip the traditional White House correspondents dinner to hold a rally in Pennsylvania on 4/29, a move that will surely trigger the leftist fake news media.

The correspondent’s dinner began in 1921 at the Arlington Hotel. It is usually attended by the president, vice president and the White house press corps. Typically, the event includes comedic skits and a keynote “roast” of the president.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced in February that Trump would skip the dinner because there was “no reason for him to go in and sit and pretend like this is going to be just another Saturday night,” an apparent reference to the Trump administration’s tumultuous relationship with the establishment media.

She said during a TV interview that same month: “I think it’s … kind of naive of us to think that we can all walk into a room for a couple of hours and pretend that some of that tension isn’t there.”

We the Vigilant will provide coverage of the president’s Pennsylvania speech this Saturday.
