Christian College Student Suspended For Disagreeing With Muslim Professor

Muslim professor claims Jesus was never crucified, student suspended for disagreeing. —>

The College Fix reported on 3/27 that Muslim professor Areej Zufari, who teaches Middle Eastern Humanities at Rollins College Florida, suspended a Christian student for objecting to the assertion that Jesus was never crucified and the disciples never believed he was God.

Marshall Polston, 20, openly contradicted his professor’s claims.  He is a sophomore at the private four-year institution and a Christian.

“Honestly, it reminded me of some of the more radical groups I researched when abroad,” he said in response to his professor’s claims about Jesus in an interview with Central Florida Post.

“Whether religious or not, I believe even those with limited knowledge of Christianity can agree that according to the text, Jesus was crucified and his followers did believe he was divine… that he was ‘God,’ regardless, to assert the contrary as academic fact is not supported by the evidence.”

The student was subsequently suspended. Both Professor Zufari or a representative from Rollins College could not be reached by The College Fix or the Central Florida Post.

The controversy is another example of the subversion of free speech on College campuses across the country, which have developed a reputation for being Marxist social engineering camps rather than education centers.  They seemingly provide one perspective, leftist anti-God, anti-Christian ideology, and students are expected to mindlessly accept it.
