Putin Responds to Obama Scorched Earth Policy, Says “We Will Not Expel Anyone” And Sink to “Kitchen Diplomacy”

After President Barack Obama expelled 30+ Russian diplomats and levied tight sanctions against Russian embassies on 12/29, President Vladimir Putin responded to the neocon-inspired provocation efforts on 12/30 by stating that he won’t expel any Americans in retaliation nor will he further devolve US-Russian relations to “kitchen diplomacy”.

In other words, Putin is refusing to be manipulated by Obama into inciting a world war scenario. In doing so, the Russian president is rejecting a proposal by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who recommended that Putin push for retaliation by expelling 25 American diplomats.

“We cannot leave such acts unanswered. Reciprocity is part of diplomatic law,” Lavrov recently said to the media according to Zero Hedge.

However, the Russian president likely recognizes Obama’s scorched earth policy is a ploy to deliberately sabotage the transition of power to President-elect Donald Trump and prevent the maverick from challenging the globalist power structure.

Putin said the following in a prepared statement:

“Although we have the right to retaliate, we will not resort to irresponsible ‘kitchen’ diplomacy but will plan our further steps to restore Russian-US relations based on the policies of the Trump Administration…It’s a pity that the current U.S. administration is finishing their work in such a manner”

In essence, Putin understands that Obama is further destabilizing the world before handing power off to his predecessor.

Zero Hedge also reported that Russian officials have portrayed U.S. sanctions against them as a desperate act by a lame-duck president that could be reversed instantly by Trump.

The president-elect’s White House chief Reince Preibus already revealed on a Thursday edition of The O’Reilly Factor that Trump is uninterested in “starting wars all over the world.”  Although the former RNC chairman wouldn’t confirm whether or not the incoming president intends to reverse Obama’s Russian sanctions, he made it clear that “it will be a different day” under his administration.

Read Putin’s full statement below:

We regard the recent unfriendly steps taken by the outgoing US administration as provocative and aimed at further weakening the Russia-US relationship. This runs contrary to the fundamental interests of both the Russian and American people. Considering the global security responsibilities of Russia and the United States, this is also damaging to international relations as a whole.

As it proceeds from international practice, Russia has reasons to respond in kind. Although we have the right to retaliate, we will not resort to irresponsible ‘kitchen’ diplomacy but will plan our further steps to restore Russian-US relations based on the policies of the Trump Administration.

The diplomats who are returning to Russia will spend the New Year’s holidays with their families and friends. We will not create any problems for US diplomats. We will not expel anyone. We will not prevent their families and children from using their traditional leisure sites during the New Year’s holidays. Moreover, I invite all children of US diplomats accredited in Russia to the New Year and Christmas children’s parties in the Kremlin.

It is regrettable that the Obama Administration is ending its term in this manner. Nevertheless, I offer my New Year greetings to President Obama and his family.
My season’s greetings also to President-elect Donald Trump and the American people.

I wish all of you happiness and prosperity.
