Illinois Hotel Fined $80,000 For Refusing To Host Gay Wedding

LGBT community once again on the offensive against Christians.

A gay couple who could have gone anywhere to host their “marriage” decided to instead target and harass a Christian hotel owner in Illinois for refusing to host their wedding.

The couple turned what would have been a non-story into a big deal likely for the sake of attention by insisting on hosting their wedding at an establishment owned by Christians who refused to contradict their beliefs.

Of course, the homosexuals never explained why they’d want to give money to people who don’t want to accept it.

CHICAGO (Reuters) – An Illinois inn that refused to allow a same-sex couple hold their civil union ceremony on the property was fined more than $80,000 by the Illinois Human Rights Commission on Tuesday.

An administrative law judge with the commission ordered TimberCreek Bed & Breakfast to pay $15,000 each to Todd and Mark Wathen for emotional distress.

The Wathens had contacted TimberCreek in 2011 as they looked for possible locations for the ceremony.

TimberCreek owner Jim Walder had responded to the Wathens’ inquiry with an email that said “homosexuality is immoral and unnatural,” according to the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois.

TimberCreek, located about 100 miles south of Chicago, must also pay $50,000 in attorneys’ fees and $1,218.35 in costs.

It’s entirely possible at this couple shopped around specifically for Christian business owners for the sake of creating a news story and taking them down given that their leftist minions responded by flooding Yelp and vandalizing the TimberCreek page with fake reviews:

The LGBT community is destroying this man’s life simply because of his religious beliefs yet liberals still refuse to believe Christians are being persecuted regularly in America.

Make no mistake about it, religious liberty is slowly dying in this country and it’s going to disappear completely unless we do something about it.
