Christian Bakers Threatened For Refusing To Bake Gay Wedding Cake

Another case of the LGBT community pushing their beliefs on everyone else.

matrimoni-gay reported today that Christian owners of a bakery in Texas said they’ve been receiving threats for refusing to bake a cake for homosexuals.

Bakery owners Edie and David Delorme said the controversy began after Ben Valencia and Luis Marmolejo walked into the Longview, Texas store to order a cake for their “wedding.”

Edie told Fox News that he was “up front with them” about his religious convictions.   He explained, “I said, ‘I’m sorry but we don’t provide wedding cakes for homosexual marriages.”  The bakers reportedly offered the homosexuals a list of other establishments that would accommodate their request, but the gesture didn’t stop the gay men from whining to the media – it wasn’t enough.

In what was a similar case earlier this month, a Christian T-shirt maker directed a disgruntled gay customer to an establishment that would accommodate his request for a homosexual T-shirt.

It wasn’t enough, either.

Edie told Starnes that his bakery doesn’t do cakes that “might conflict with our spiritual convictions” and that “it was not something personal against the two young men.”

“We just need to be able to run our business in a way that honors God,” he said.

In an interview with Longview News-Journal Tuesday, Valencia said the situation made him feel “dehumanized.”

“People shouldn’t have to worry about going into a business, especially a public business that serves the public, and have to worry about being turned away for something, for who you are.”

Edie disagreed and argued that a private business should be able to conduct itself according to its owners’ convictions.

“If I went to a baker, a homosexual baker, and they didn’t want to provide a cake for an event that maybe celebrated marriage between a man and a woman, that would be OK for them to say, ‘That’s not in line with our values,’” Edie said to the News-Journal.

Edie could have also cited a recent social experiment conducted by Steve Crowder in which the “Louder With Crowder” host demanded a gay wedding cake from a Muslim bakery.

He was quickly turned away and leftists never said a word.

Evidently, liberals hold Muslims to a different standard.  They’ve apparently been bestowed with special privileges including the right to rape women and children across Europe without condemnation from the general public.

Regarding Valencia and Marmolejo’s story, Social Justice Warriors flooded the Christian bakery owners with threatening messages shortly after the news went public.  One message read “racist criminals” while another said “This business is run by a homophobic piece of sh**.”

One must wonder how long it’s going to take before the LGBTQYZ community grasps that Bible believing Christians will always disapprove of their lifestyle:

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. -Leviticus 18:22

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. -Leviticus 20:13

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. -Romans 1:26-27
