The same president responsible for arming ISIS and Mexican drug cartels should be disqualified from lecturing Americans on firearm sales.
This week, Barack Obama signed executive orders designed primarily to increase background checks on Americans selling guns to their neighbors (hidden provisions will disarm some social security beneficiaries and government skeptics).
No president should lecture Americans on guns, but recent history has proven that our president is perhaps the least qualified person on the planet to engage in anti-gun rhetoric.
Operation Fast and Furious
Five years ago, mainstream media outlets tried to cloak Fast and Furious in secrecy. The operation saw President Obama purposely sell thousands of guns to individuals in Mexico with the goal of getting them into the possession of Mexican drug cartels.
The Department of Justice knew that ATF agents facilitated the sale of these firearms and stood down. Furthermore, officials did not surveil the weapons after they crossed the border.
Manuel Osorio-Arellanes, 37, plead guilty in 2012 after using those same weapons to shoot U.S. border control agents.
The media refused to hold Obama accountable for the incident and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder stifled efforts from congress to investigate. After months of speculation, Special Agent John Dodson finally blew the whistle on Fast and Furious when he explained on June 15th, 2011 that ATF agents were concerned about orders to cut off surveillance on weapons transactions at the border.
They knew what was going on:
“Just days after these purchases, the guns that we saw these individuals buy would begin turning up at crime scenes in the United States and Mexico.” Source
The Obama administration knowingly armed Mexican drug cartels who then killed border patrol agents and wreaked havoc on other innocent lives.
Our president then gave those same drug cartels carte blanche to smuggle illicit drugs into Chicago and the rest of the United States. The federal government protected them in return for intel on rival cartels that would be transferred directly to the DEA and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
Obama Administration Knowingly Arms ISIS
In an effort to overthrow Bashar Al-Assad (a secular leader, by the way) U.S. officials under Obama’s orders poured billions into opposition groups linked to Al Qaeda/Al-Nusra (which eventually became ISIS) in an effort to spearhead regime change in Syria.
As the Syrian Civil War intensified, the United States along with Saudi Arabia and Qatar armed what the Obama administration called “moderate” Syrian rebels in 2011. The establishment subsequently brainwashed the public into believing that it was a necessary measure.
An investigation by the arms control organization Conflict Armament Research revealed that Obama had actually armed Islamic State militants known today as ISIS.
The study by the London-based small-arms research organization Conflict Armament Research documented weapons seized by Kurdish forces from militants in Iraq and Syria over a 10-day period in July.
The report said the jihadists disposed of “significant quantities” of US-made small arms including M16 assault rifles and included photos showing the markings “Property of US Govt”.
It also found that anti-tank rockets used by IS in Syria were “identical to M79 rockets transferred by Saudi Arabia to forces operating under the Free Syrian Army umbrella in 2013”. Source
Furthermore, the military left behind 1,500 Humvees, 4,000 PKC machine-guns and 52 M198 155-millimeter howitzers when the United States pulled out of Iraq in 2011. The “Free Syrian Army” reportedly acquired these weapons and fed them to ISIS as they joined the militia themselves.
Obama’s reckless foreign policy decisions resulted in the rise of The Islamic State. In fact, evidence suggests that he knowingly armed Al Qaeda/Al Nasra groups without contrition leading to a mass genocide of Christians in the Middle East.
A genocide that continues today.
It is interesting to note that U.S. taxpayers are spending $615,482 every hour to fight a “war” in which the “enemy” is being well-financed by countries with whom the U.S. has full diplomatic relations. Does this not make it appear that “victory” over this enemy is not the goal? Source
Over the next year – ISIS forces systematically exterminated much of the Christian community in Mosul, a home to Christ-followers for more than 1,600 years. Islamic radicals demanded Christians in the area to either convert, flee or be decapitated in front of their families.
Close to 1,000 Christians reportedly left the city and thousands more died as a result.
Our dictator-in-chief has no moral high-ground to stand on. He does, however, have we the people to answer to and a constitution that isn’t going away no matter how hard he tries to destroy it. While the president lectured Americans about firearm ownership, he put weapons into the hands of the world’s most dangerous monsters.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is the very definition of evil.
