Rand Paul Is Right About Military Spending

When the country is in 18 trillion dollars worth of debt – you cut military spending.

Republicans who refuse to be fiscally conservative on the military are just as bad as Democrats promising free hand-outs.

Rand Paul said it best at the Fox Business debate when he explained that peace and prosperity cannot be achieved from bankruptcy court.

We already have the best military in the world, there’s no reason to spend trillions more on it when the country is so far into debt it’s mathematically impossible to pay it off.

Cut defense spending, open up a line of communication with Putin and take out the Islamic state together.  Furthermore, stop arming terrorists, stop overthrowing governments for geopolitical gain, get the hell out of the Middle East and stay out.

That’s how you actually create a peaceful world while also being financially responsible.

We’re in no position to spend, spend, spend on an asset that’s already bigger and better than anyone else’s on the planet, an asset that leaders on both sides have misused since the Bush administration.

The U.S can blow up the planet 40 times over – we don’t need to be able to do it 50 times over for the world to be safe.

In today’s economic climate, it’s more important than ever for fiscal conservatives to cut spending everywhere – including the military.  Establishment neocons and leftists are fruit from the same bush with both sides pushing to spend trillions of dollars this country doesn’t have.

Stand up to the status quo by backing anti-establishment candidates who are more interested in restoring our republic than complying with orders passed down from the corporate elite.
