Statistics And History Don’t Align With Anti-Gun Rhetoric

Facts about the correlation between gun confiscation, increased violence and totalitarianism.

Leftists, backed by the president, are once again calling for more gun control after the Umpqua shooting despite both history and statistics being incompatible with their narrative.

The same liberals who think respectfully criticizing Islamic doctrine is “stereotyping” and “xenophobic” apparently believe that painting all gun owners with one broad brush is “trendy” and “cool”.

At a recent press conference, the president threatened to use an executive order to introduce more stringent gun regulations despite similar edicts accomplishing nothing for cities like Chicago.  Obama even asserted that we ought to eradicate the second amendment completely.

Gun confiscation didn’t help the U.K, which leads the world in violent crime, ranks second in overall crime rate in the European Union and beats the United States in total crime by 6,913.

Meanwhile, the U.S leads the world in gun ownership but is number 28 in the world for gun murders at 2.97 per 100,000 people (those statistics don’t even account for gang-related shootings) and violent crimes occur at a rate of 466 per 100,000 people.  (Source: 2011 FBI crime statistics)

Obama and the anti-gun left obviously didn’t bother to research the numbers before making bold statements about our constitutional rights.  They also never studied history, because doing so would immediately refute their lofty rhetoric and conclusively end the debate.

Case in point, total gun bans are the first step to tyranny:

1929: Soviet Union established gun control and over the next two decades 20 million dissidents were rounded up and exterminated.

1911: Turkey established gun control and 1.5 million Armenians were consequently rounded up and exterminated.

1938: Germany established gun control and over the next six years a total of 13 million Jews were rounded up and exterminated.

1935: China established gun control and from 1948 to 1952 a total of 20 million political dissidents were rounded up and exterminated.

1964: Guatemala established control control and for the next 17 years over 100,000 Mayan Indians were rounded up and exterminated.

1970: Uganda established control control and for the next nine years, 300,000 Christians were rounded up and exterminated.

1956: Cambodia established gun control and from 1975 to 1977 1 million people were rounded up and exterminated.

 Total deaths: 56 million

The historical connection between total gun confiscation and fascism is profound and impossible to ignore.  These are the facts the government doesn’t want you to know and these are the talking points CNN/NBC will never broadcast to keep the public sedated.

It’s not working.

Americans are waking up to reality and are fighting back.  Patriots in Roseburg, Oregon stood up for their constitutional rights yesterday by staging a protest of Barack Obama’s visit to the city.  They recognized that Obama’s interests lied only with pushing his agenda and they responded accordingly.

It’s time for the rest of America to follow suit.

Don’t allow corporate controlled media to think for you, don’t allow desperate gun-grabbers to push propaganda down your throat and don’t allow leftists to skew the statistics in order to favor their illogical argument.

This issue isn’t just about defending civil liberties, it’s about defending the God-given right to protection for our friends, families and loved ones.  It’s about securing the same right to protection that Barack Obama surrounds himself with on a daily basis.

History has revealed that the modus operandi of the ruling class isn’t to curb violence or save lives, it’s to further control Americans and weaken the population.  Now is the time to openly reject draconian gun laws in order to protect the constitution and restore the republic.

As the old saying goes, if you don’t learn from history you’re doomed to repeat it.
